See the new photos from the premiere episode of SUPERNATURAL season 12, including Sam and Dean’s mom, Mary Winchester!

Supernatural season 12 starts off where last season ended. Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) is back from the dead and Sam (Jared Padalecki) has been kidnapped! Of course, Dean (Jensen Ackles) will have the challenge of finding out where his brother is before it’s too late. When will the poor Winchesters ever have any rest?
Although everyone wanted us to think that Sam may actually have been killed, the photos show him very much alive. But it doesn’t look good, as it looks like he’s on the verge of being tortured by a woman identified as Ms. Watt (Bronagh Waugh) in the photo credits. One of the images also shows him being questioned by Lady Antonia Bevell (Elizabeth Blackmore), the one who shot (at) Sam.
One of the greatest themes that run through all the seasons of Supernatural has been familial love and what two brothers will do to save each other. Although there has been a focus on the boys relationships with their father, this is the first time where the boys will get to interact with their mother as an adult. There will understandably be some friction as the boys negotiate their new family dynamics.
If you didn’t notice, Castiel (Misha Collins) will also be in the episode as he’s shown riding shotgun in ‘Baby’ while Dean is driving and Mary in the backseat.
