RESTORE ME Book Trailer, Plus Tahereh Mafi’s New Book

It’s a busy time for Shatter Me series author Tahereh Mafi!

Restore Me, the fourth book in the Shatter Me series, is out on March 6, 2018. As first new book in the series since 2014, when the series originally “ended” only to expand in a three-book continuation deal last year, it has a lot of hype going for it.

Epic Reads recently released the official book trailer for Restore Me, which focuses on the gorgeous cover imagery we’ve seen for the series so far. Watch the video at the top of the page.

Along with the trailer comes the first four chapters, plus the news that Mafi will soon head out on a 10-stop book tour. But that’s not all! The author already hard at work on her next project, as well.

A Very Large Expanse Of Sea marks Mafi’s first contemporary YA novel. The novel follows Shirin, a hijab-wearing Muslim teen in post-9/11 America. She talked to LA Times about the novel more extensively, describing it as her “most autobiographical” work to date.

So much of it is inspired by things I’ve experienced in my life — conversations I’ve had with people, things that have actually happened to me — but it’s streamlined for fiction. Everything takes place in a single school year. Shirin has a lot of these experiences back-to-back, whereas for me, while so much of this is personal, it’s an amalgamation of many things I’ve experienced.

A Very Large Expanse Of Sea does not have a release date set quite yet.
