It’s clear that the Shadowhunter Chronicles will already go beyond The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, what with a few more book trilogies to come and a hopeful TV series, but now we finally have the official announcement of Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy.

Much as the same vane as The Bane Chronicles, we’ll be introduced to 10 e-novellas in 10 months in 2015.  Cassandra Clare has already tweeted/tumblr’d about this being somewhat from Simon’s point of view (though not all of them are) to her fans, but she explains it further here:

“But there wasn’t room for that in The Dark Artifices, the next books, because it’s a book of its own. I wound up discussing it with Maureen and Sarah, and we really missed doing The Bane Chronicles together and thought this would be a perfect second project for us since we all love Simon. Maureen actually loves him the most. We brought our friend Robin Wasserman on board as well since she’s such an amazing writer. The stories will follow Simon, but also flip back and forth in time so you can expect to see Jace and Clary, Will and Jem, Tessa, and Emma—characters old and new!”

I’m a sucker for these books and I certainly can’t wait to get back into the Shadowhunter world, especially considering the next novel, Lady Midnight (Book One of The Dark Artifices) probably won’t be out until at least late Spring.
