Check out Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live-action movie sneak peek of the teaser trailer.
It’s been pretty quiet as far as news from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live-action feature film, which stars Emma Watson (Harry Potter franchise) as Belle and Dan Stevens‘ (Downton Abbey) Beast. But today, Disney just released a sneak peak of the teaser trailer. Check it out!
The first teaser trailer for the movie will air Monday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, and hopefully will have more than just more rose petals falling.
This version of Beauty and the Beast will be adapted from Disney’s animated version of the enchanting fairy-tale, and will include songs from the original as well as some new songs added for this updated version. We will be seeing the familiar characters, including the fierce, intelligent, and independent Belle as she’s taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. This soon begins a relationship that starts off strained, obviously, but turns into something meaningful the more Belle learns about the beast and the castle.
The film also stars Luke Evans as the self-absorbed Gaston who tries to woo Belle, Kevin Kline as Belle’s eccentric father Maurice, and Josh Gad as Gaston’s sidekick Lefou. Those playing the inanimate objects turned living are Ewan McGregor as Lumiere the candelabra, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts the teapot, Sir Ian McKellen as Cogsworth the clock, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza the harpsichord, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette the feather duster, and six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe the wardrobe.
