Fandom Favorites Rack Up Teen Choice Awards Nominations

Fandom is coming out in full force for the 2014 Teen Choice Awards! At least one nominee from all but one movie category (Choice Movie Actor: Comedy) comes from a major fandom!

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE leads the pack with four nominations (along with additional nominations for Jennifer Lawrence), but DIVERGENT, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES, and MALEFICENT all made a strong showing with three nominations each. Even VAMPIRE ACADEMY is representing fandom in the comedy category!

As for films based off comics, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, THOR: THE DARK WORLD, and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 dominate the sci-fi/fantasy category!
