THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2 just premiered last week here in America and it’s still currently all the buzz. I’ve seen it twice and I definitely want to see it again really soon because it was just that amazing. Since seeing the film, I haven’t been able to think of anything else and I’ve been listening to the recently released score just to relive some of the magic. So imagine my excitement when I figured out that the cast did an interview where they talked about the epilogue and Deep in the Meadow. Warning: mild spoilers ahead.
This is all from interview with Mtime but thanks to Jabberjays.net for transcribing!
Francis talks about all the ideas they went through with the end credit song. Would they get someone to sing, would they just have score? Then the idea popped up of using the lullaby, ‘Deep In The Meadow,’ from the opening of The Hunger Games to bring the series full circle.
Stay in your seats, there is an end question. Jennifer, Josh and Liam pick which songs best represent their characters. Jennifer picks ‘Girl on Fire’ by Alicia Keys and Josh picks ‘I Will Always Love You’ by Whitney Houston. Liam takes ages deliberating, so Jennifer helps him out brilliantly and picks ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ by The Rolling Stones.
