Newt (29) vs. Christina (36)

Book Series, Fandom: The Maze Runner, Maze Runner World

Even though he is second in command in the Glade, Newt’s real strength lies in keeping the Gladers together and peaceful. He became one of Thomas’s first friends when he arrived, and one of the only ones to support Thomas even when everything started going wrong. Newt was one of the original Gladers and used to be one of the best runners before he injured his ankle.

Newt is the heart of The Gladers. He sees the good in everyone and always does his best to understand. He teaches Thomas a lot about Glader life with a small-town wit and a great sense of humor despite all of the chaos around them. Even when diving into madness, Newt is still one of the most loyal and self-sacrificing friends Thomas could ever have.

Book Series, Fandom: Divergent, Divergent Trilogy

Christina is a brave, courageous, thoughtful, witty, and somewhat kind person. She was not one of the very best initiates (still making in through initiation), but Christina worked harder than almost all the others. Christina was also noted to have a fear of moths . Christina is usually funny, bubbly and supportive to Tris and her friends, she is very brave and tough. It is noticed by Four in Allegiant that she is cheerful in the morning.

Because she is from Candor, she can be loud-mouthed and blunt, not sugarcoating anything and saying whatever is on her mind. Christina can also be very tough, and does not care what people think of her. She likes to talk a lot too, often teasing her friends or boldly insulting those she doesn’t like. – Divergent wikia

hbarMagnus Bane (30) vs. Johanna Mason (35)

Magnus Bane
Book Series, Fandom: The Mortal Instruments, Shadowhunter Chronicles

Magnus can come off as aloof, but he’s always ready with a witty or sardonic remark for any occasion. He enjoys being the center of attention, and as such, is a showman in terms of behavior, wardrobe, magical displays, and general living arrangements. Like many people who crave attention, a lot of this is in reaction to the rejection he faced as a child at the hand of his parents. When they found out the truth about his heritage, they believed he was a monster and tried to kill him. Though he acts as if this no longer bothers him, having given himself completely over to his Downworlder side and now wearing it as a mark of pride, he obviously still suffers from fear of real rejection.  He is very deeply offended by Shadowhunter treatment of Downworlders, having been one of the warlocks actually present to sign the Accords, and having done quite a bit to rankle Shadowhunter authority into ceasing to abuse Downworlders who did not engage in monstrous or illicit activities.

Despite appearances, Magnus has the capacity to be immensely loyal to people who earn his respect or love. He might not always be willing to admit it, but he does care about what happens to them, and this manifests in his own unique way of lending aid when necessary.  – My Magnificence

Johanna Mason
Book Series, Fandom: The Hunger Games, Hunger Games World

Johanna is very sly and perceptive. She understands the greater good of the districts and is willing to give up her life for freedom. She can be pert and difficult at times and is an expert at deception. She is described as sarcastic and snarky when she’s not having a “victor’s breakdown”. She is very gutsy when it comes to showing her dislike of the Capitol. She is not afraid to show her feelings about the Capitol and President Snow. During her interview for the third Quarter Quell, she complained that the “deep bond” between victors and the Capitol should not be severed and wondered if something could be done to change the Quell.

Impatient and cruel at times, she can be rather vicious toward others both verbally and physically – such as when she slaps Katniss and insults her many times. However, once she becomes friendlier toward Katniss, she proves herself to be a person who has good reason to have a more aggressive approach towards fighting against the Capitol, and someone who is often just as misunderstood as Katniss was. – Hunger Games wikia

hbarClary Fray (31) vs. Gale Hawthorne (34)

Clary Fray
Book Series, Fandom: The Mortal Instruments, Shadowhunter Chronicles

Clary is portrayed as being incredibly stubborn and a little sarcastic, but is a very caring person, with lots of compassion for her friends and family. Her extreme stubbornness might have taken root because of the fact that her mother was extremely protective of her as a child. She goes to extreme lengths to accomplish what she wants, usually putting herself in danger, leaving those people who care for her, especially Jace and Jocelyn, extremely exasperated. Jace has even stated that her stubbornness matches his, which he figures was the reason they could not stand each other when they had first met.

She is also an artist like her mother, Jocelyn. She keeps a notepad of paper where she often draws out her emotions and feelings through pictures; which she says is her version of a diary, just using pictures instead of words. – Shadowhunters’ wikia

Gale Hawthorne
Book Series, Fandom: The Hunger Games, Hunger Games World

Gale enjoys a good laugh when he is with his best friend, Katniss. He can be easy to anger, and often it is Katniss who keeps it under control.

Gale hated the Capitol more than most people, even in the worst districts. Throughout the books he mentions several times that he feels that a rebellion would be better than just doing what the Capitol wanted. Gale also believed in the ideal of winning at any cost.  This ruthlessness, combined with his hatred for the Capitol causes him to become a leading figure in the rebellion and to come up with new combat tactics while in District 13. Unfortunately, it is also this personality that eventually costs him his relationship with Katniss.

Gale also had a very idealistic personality. When he believed in something that was being challenged he wouldn’t hesitate to fight for it. It is later said by Katniss that Gale’s fire, his passion and personality, was very similar to her own; however, hers was always more controlled. – Hunger Games wikia

hbarRon Weasley (32) vs. Bilbo Baggins (33)

Ron Weasley
Book Series, Fandom: Harry Potter, Harry Potter Universe

Ron was a very funny person, but often emotionally immature, and insensitive. He had a sardonic, wisecracking sense of humour that often brought his friends laughter and relaxation. However, as Hermione Granger and Luna Lovegood pointed out, his humour could occasionally be hurtful, even if unintentionally. During his time searching for Voldemort’s Horcruxes with Harry and Hermione, Ron matured greatly, and even took to leading the trio when Harry temporarily fell into a depressive mood.

Ron’s character was also marked by moodiness and insecurity. He could be argumentative… He also had a fierce temper, which was especially prone to provocation if his loved ones were insulted, and was not above undermining the ways of wizarding kind during confrontations (e.g. he had, on more than one occasion, opted to manually resort to the use of his fists rather than his wand when provoked).

Ron was brave, to a level which would put him on a par with his best friend Harry; he never hesitated to put himself into extremely dangerous situations with his best friends Harry and Hermione, and as shown many times, he would rather die than have someone else he cared about be harmed. He risked his life on many occasions, and his bravery was not unnoticed by his friends. Harry Potter wikia

Bilbo Baggins
Book Series, Fandom: The Hobbit, Middle-Earth Chronicles

Bilbo was a very friendly and well-mannered hobbit fond of food, drink, a full pipe, his friends and good cheer, and was known for greeting strangers and friends with hospitality saying: “At your service and your families”. Being related to both the Tooks and the Baggins two family groups that were fundamentally opposite in their mentalities, with the Tooks being more fond of adventures and wandering, and the Baggins who were more fond of the settled life, Bilbo had two different sides to him something he referred to as the “Took side” and the “Baggins side”. This meant that he secretly relished having adventures but still wanted to remain settled and was very afraid.

Bilbo seemed to be happy with his life at Bag End and would have been content to remain a child of his father, had adventure not come upon him. Still very afraid and wishing he had never left his hobbit-hole, the Took side eventually won out even after he returned home to his old life. Thus, his desire for another adventure never truly departed from him in his heart even into his old age. This he demonstrated in his sudden departure from Bag End in TA 3001. – LotR wikia
