hbarHarry (6) vs. Luna (26)

Harry Potter
Book Series, Fandom: Harry Potter, Harry Potter Universe

Harry Potter is an extremely brave, loyal, and selfless person who possesses tremendous strength of character. He willingly went to what he truly believed to be his death because he believed that this was the only way to defeat the Dark Lord. Harry was also marked by what Lord Voldemort once deemed a “weakness for heroics” — he would go to great lengths and take great risks in order to help others, particularly his loved ones.  Harry was also very strong-willed and unafraid to stand up for himself.

However, Harry was also accused of being arrogant, and could be hot-tempered and impulsive. This can sometimes make him rude to authority figures such as Professor Snape and Minister for Magic Rufus Scrimgeour, and irritable with his friends. In contrast, Dumbledore stated that many teachers reported him as modest and likable. Harry was prone to moodiness during his adolescence, though this is likely the result of the great emotional stress and trials he endured during this period. Harry possessed an instinctual, intuitive intelligence that allowed him to make intellectual leaps as opposed to the logical intelligence of Hermione.

Harry also seemed to have a bit of an obsessive personality, a trait he shared with his arch enemy Lord Voldemort. He could be somewhat nosy and was known for sleuthing around and getting involved in things that did not concern him.

Harry’s greatest strength was his ability to feel love, despite having a miserable childhood of neglect. Harry was extremely loyal to and protective of his loved ones, and that love was what allowed him to overcome Voldemort, Dumbledore noting Harry’s strength of will at resisting the temptation to act like Voldemort even when granted a direct insight into Voldemort’s mind and methods.

Although never as given to sarcasm or humour as his best friend Ron, Harry often displayed a dry, occasionally sarcastic, wit.  – Harry Potter wikia

Luna Lovegood
Book Series, Fandom: Harry Potter, Harry Potter Universe

Luna was an extremely quirky girl with a serene disposition and many eccentric beliefs and qualities. She was a complete nonconformist; she lacked self-consciousness and wasn’t afraid to show who she truly was. Luna was also highly intelligent and unusually perceptive, having been sorted into Ravenclaw, “where those of wit and learning will always find their kind.” Although many thought Luna was bizarre, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Ginny, Dean Thomas and Ollivander eventually became very fond of her.

Her demeanour and voice were often distant and dreamy, and she would drift away from a conversation she did not find interesting. She had an uncanny way of making others uncomfortable by being bluntly honest — a “knack for embarrassing honesty” according to Harry. She was completely unflappable and rarely seemed anxious or under stress, even under difficult circumstances such as being a prisoner of Malfoy Manor. Luna was very good at comforting others, such as when she comforted Harry Potter after his godfather’s death, and Mr. Ollivander while they were imprisoned together.

Luna was often the subject of ridicule and had difficulty making friends. Other students gave her the nickname of “Loony Lovegood” and even stole and hid her things. She was unfazed by this, though, and instead chose to be nonjudgmental and accepting of the others around her. She once said that she does not like dancing much, though she did dance some at the wedding of Bill and Fleur. Luna seems to have enjoyed artistic pursuits in her free time; her house was filled with various things that she painted.

Luna was very loyal to the few friends she had, supporting Harry even when he was outlawed by the Ministry of Magic. She also displayed admirable bravery during both the Battle of the Department of Mysteries and the Battle of Hogwarts. – Harry Potter wikia

Finnick (3) vs. Gale (34)

Finnick Odair
Book Series, Fandom: The Hunger Games, Hunger Games World

Katniss at first views Finnick as extremely flirtatious and using a “seductive purr” when he speaks. When they take refuge in District 13, Katniss begins to understand Finnick’s pain more. His grief over Annie’s torture mirrors hers about Peeta, and she feels bad for him as he grows more and more unstable. Upon seeing his true personality, she notes that he “radiates life” and has “self-effacing humor and an easy going nature.” – THG wikia

Gale Hawthorne
Book Series, Fandom: The Hunger Games, Hunger Games World

Gale enjoys a good laugh when he is with his best friend, Katniss. He can be easy to anger, and often it is Katniss who keeps it under control.

Gale hated the Capitol more than most people, even in the worst districts. Throughout the books he mentions several times that he feels that a rebellion would be better than just doing what the Capitol wanted. Gale also believed in the ideal of winning at any cost.  This ruthlessness, combined with his hatred for the Capitol causes him to become a leading figure in the rebellion and to come up with new combat tactics while in District 13. Unfortunately, it is also this personality that eventually costs him his relationship with Katniss.

Gale also had a very idealistic personality. When he believed in something that was being challenged he wouldn’t hesitate to fight for it. It is later said by Katniss that Gale’s fire, his passion and personality, was very similar to her own; however, hers was always more controlled. – Hunger Games wikia

hbarMinho (12) vs. Alex (24)

Minho
Book Series, Fandom: The Maze Runner, Maze Runner World

Even though he was merely the Glade’s Keeper of the Runners, Minho is a true leader. He believes in giving people what they deserve, even if it means giving something up himself. Minho was one of the original Gladers and one of the first to step foot into the maze that engulfs the settlement. Though he may be a tad hot-headed at times, Minho has the courage to jump into battle without a second thought and risk his life to save his friends.

Alex Sheathes
Book Series, Fandom: Delirium, Delirium Trilogy

Alex is a fighter! He risks his own life to save Lena’s, and truly loves her, he is the most genuine character in Delirium. I think it is impossible to hate Alex in Delirium, from the moment I met him I fell in love with him. And from the end of Delirium to the end of Pandemonium I was waiting for his return and willing him to be alive.
