Powers come to life in new THE DARKEST MINDS key art!
Summer is approaching and that means one major thing for fans of book-to-movie adaptations: The Darkest Minds movie is on the way!
Set in a near future dystopian America, the movie will take audiences through a world in with 98 percent of children were wiped out by a vicious plague and the 2 percent who survived have developed startling powers ranging from extreme intelligence to mind control. These children have been placed in cruel “camps” by the government, who fear their power. Ruby is an orange, hiding her abilities and tricking everyone into thinking she’s a green– until the day she has an opportunity to escape and search for the storied resistance in the outside world.
New key art has been released for the movie, including a movie poster and social media banners. It features Ruby, Chubs, Zu and Liam in the middle of a field at sunset. Powers are in play: Ruby is using her ability to make others see hallucinations to appear partially disintegrated, Liam is lifting a car, Zu has a bolt of lightning comes out of one hand and Chubs? Well, he’s just looking super intelligent! Ruby, Liam, and Chubs are in their powers color, but Zu is in her signature hoodie instead.
The Darkest Minds hits theaters on August 3, 2018.
