THE DARKEST MINDS rises up in first trailer!
Alexandra Bracken‘s bestselling YA novel The Darkest Minds is headed to the big screen thanks to 20th Century Fox and the first trailer was just released.
Set in a near future dystopian America, the movie will take audiences through a world in with 98 percent of children were wiped out by a vicious plague and the 2 percent who survived have developed startling powers ranging from extreme intelligence to mind control.
The trailer shows Ruby (Amandla Stenberg) and her bleak, regimented life at Thurmond work camp, where the only adult who doesn’t fear children’s powers seems to be Dr. Cate Connor (Mandy Moore). Soon, Ruby finds herself on the run with Liam (Harris Dickinson), Chubs (Skylan Brooks), and Zu (Miya Cech) in search of a resistance effort and a new home, displaying their various powers along the way. But with a bounty hunter named Lady Jane (Gwendoline Christie) giving chase, the journey seems just shy of impossible.
