The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone states U.S. shoot location for the movie, and it’s not in Indianapolis, IN, where the book’s story takes place.
Josh spoke with Shockya.com about his current movie, Stuck in Love (starring Lily Collins and Logan Lerman), and he got to speak a little bit about TFiOS as well, which at one point, he stated where TFiOS will be filming:
We’re going to shoot that in Pittsburgh, starting on August 26.
There is a part of the movie that will take place in Amsterdam, which will actually be filmed in Amsterdam, but for the rest of the movie, it seems Pittsburgh will be the spot.
The Fault in Our Stars will star Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace Lancaster and Ansel Elgort as Augustus Waters. Both actors are currently filming another film together, titled Divergent, in which they play brother and sister. You might have heard of it.
