As you know, Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent series is being split in two films. The titles of the two movies were previously called The Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 1 and The Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 2. That is not the case anymore.
The third movie in the franchise is now being called The Divergent Series: Allegiant and the final film’s name is being changed to The Divergent Series: Ascendant. Here are the new movie logos:
The tagline for the fourth movie reads: “The End is Never What You Expect” so their might be some changes coming. I’m curious to see what they do with the two movies.
Author Veronica Roth has commented on the name changes. Here’s what she had to say:
What does this mean? Well, basically, it means there are going to be some changes, but it’s really too early to know exactly what those changes will be or the extent of them. I know changes always make fans of the books– and the author!– nervous, but hopefully the characters we know (and love. Or sometimes love to hate?) will still be intact, which is really the important thing. I am eager to see how these movies turn out, along with you guys.
