Keiynan Lonsdale who played Uriah In Insurgent will be seen in this upcoming season of The Flash. Lonsdale will portray Wally West, the speedster from DC Comics known as Kid Flash.
According to the DC Comics version Wally West is the nephew of Iris West, the eventual wife of Barry Allen. He became Barry’s sidekick, was a founding member of Teen Titans, and later inherited the title of The Flash from Barry. There is no confirmation as to what Wally’s relationship to the West family is in the TV show.
Andrew Kreisberg (executive producer) commented on Lonsdale’s casting:
“Just like when we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”
The Flash season 2 premieres Tuesday, October 6th on the CW.
