THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST Gets August Release

Find out when you can see THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST in theaters!

Sometimes it’s hard to find all the details on an indie film, like The Miseducation of Cameron Post, but there’s some big news on the YA novel adaptation!

Back in March, FilmRise bought the US rights to the film starring Chloe Grace Moretz and directed by Desiree Akhavan, based on the 2012 novel by Emily M. Danforth. It follows a Montana teen living in the custody of ultra-conservative family members. After she’s caught getting hot and heavy with another girl on prom night, Cameron is sent to a conversion therapy camp meant to help her “repent.” Instead, Cameron forms her own family among the misfits at the center, despite the cruel circumstances.

Now the movie has a release date in the US: August 3, 2018! (Thanks to xreadingsolacex for the tip!) Additional digging revealed a UK release date of August 31, 2018, as well. Unfortunately, it’s a limited release in both cases. The film is also taking part in a worldwide festival circuit. You can find out more info by checking out the official website and social media:
