Who saw this coming? Huge news today for the Shadowhunter World, The Hollywood Reporter announced The Mortal Instruments returns, but to a different medium.
“It actually makes sense to do (the novels) as a TV series,” Constantin film and TV head Martin Moszkowicz told THR. “There was so much from the book that we had to leave out of the Mortal Instruments film. In the series we’ll be able to go deeper and explore this world in greater detail and depth.” THR article states the project is currently in development and looking at production beginning next year.
This Shadowhunter is excited! I cannot wait to see how this develops, the casting, the network that signs on to the project…
