After DOCTOR WHO has faced the likes of Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, Winston Churchill, and William Shakespeare on his adventures, writer Mark Gatiss talked about the possibility of adding a classic, much-loved writer into the mix via two new episodes he is writing: Jane Austen!
“One of the things which new Doctor Who sort of invented was the idea of a celebrity historical – Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, Winston Churchill, Shakespeare,” he said. ”There’s three writers there so I think Jane Austen stands quite a quite a good chance actually… I’m not quite sure what the adventure would be. Maybe an alien posing as Mr Darcy.”
This is NOT confirmed as a future episode, nor has it be confirmed that Gatiss’ episodes will be included in this upcoming season. Still, we can hope!
