THE TOMORROW PEOPLE Star Robbie Amell Now Cast as Firestorm for THE FLASH Series

I guess the guys behind The Flash knew you wanted to see more of Robbie Amell, and since his series, The Tomorrow People, was cancelled by The CW, they’ve decided to add him into another CW series.  Well, I think this is a very good thing.

The “Tomorrow People” star — and cousin of “Arrow” lead Stephen Amell — will make his debut in the third episode of “The Flash’s” freshman season.

Ronnie Raymond, a maintenance worker at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Caitlin Snow’s (Danielle Panabaker) fiancé, plays an integral part in the particle accelerator accident that transforms Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) into The Flash.

“Flash” executive producer Greg Berlanti said of Amell’s casting: “Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) — and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting. We can’t wait for viewers and fans of the character to check it out.”

The Tomorrow People wasn’t a bad show, but no doubt that logistically, The Flash has more promise with such a high fan base already from those who follow Arrow and those who just love the comics its based on.

Now if only we can find a role for Luke Mitchell, I’ll be happy-er.
