The Top 4 DC Games

Marvel may have dominated the comic book & movie world over the last ten years, but DC are now not far behind with some absolutely massive films including the Ben Affleck Batman reboots, the stand-alone Wonder Woman movie and the upcoming Justice League film about to give Iron Man & Co a run for their money. For DC fans who can’t wait until November to see Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and a brand new rendition of Aquaman jumping into action, there are already some amazing DC games out there, which we’ve profiled below to help you get in the mood for some world-saving action.

Batman: Arkham series

Arkham Asylum kicked off this superb series of sneak-em-up / puzzle / fighting games back in 2009 and each iteration has got better and better. Choosing either a stealthy takedown or all-out, ultra violent button smash, players must navigate vibrant worlds featuring supervillains including The Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and of course the infamous Joker, voiced brilliantly by Mark Hamill. The latest highly rated game in the series, Arkham Knight, ups the ante by introducing a beefed up Batmobile, complete with ejector seat and naturally a gigantic flaming jet engine that boosts Batman around an evacuated Gotham.

Superman online slot game

You don’t need a high end gaming machine to enjoy some DC action with this great virtual slot machine based on our favourite Kryptonian. Available on PC, tablet and mobile on the Wink Slots website and app, the Superman slot game features famous characters from the comic series including alter-ego Clark Kent, love interest Lois Lane and arch-nemesis Lex Luthor as the scatter symbols, with bonuses, free spins and big coin payouts unlocked by linking up the characters across the 5 reels and 50 paylines.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

From the makers of Mortal Kombat, this old-style side-on fighting game allows players to pick a character from the huge range of DC heroes and villains. Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Batman, Superman, Killer Croc and the Joker and punch, kick and combo their way through an arcade-style campaign. Although Injustice was released as a console and PC title, there’s also an excellent free-to-play mobile version available on both iOS and Android if you’re on the go.

Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes

Although the first Lego Batman game was brilliant, the follow up that brought big chunks of the DC cast to the incredibly well thought out and funny Lego superhero world. Lego Batman 2 is built on the ingenious concepts and genuinely fun gameplay of other Lego video games and its popularity has even spawned its own film. With plenty of crossovers, including appearances from Lex Luthor, Superman, Two-Face and Green Lantern. Perfect for kids big and small, Lego Batman 2 offers good clean family fun with plenty of witty cut scenes and dialogue for grown-ups to enjoy too.

The good news for DC fans is that there are plenty of new games and sequels in development, including follow ups to Injustice and Arkham Knight, as well as a new Suicide Squad brawler and Superman console game.
