Comic book fans of THE FLASH, be prepared to wait a bit longer for the standalone film.
Warner Bros. announced yesterday that it’ll be pushing back production on the untitled standalone The Flash film… again. Cast and crew were expecting to start shooting in March but since the script is still getting tweaked, the studio doesn’t think there will be enough time to whip the script into shape ready for a spring start..
Well that’s annoying.
And the kicker is Ezra Miller, the movie’s lead, also has a key supporting role in the Fantastic Beasts series, the Harry Potter spin-off series. Shooting is set for July of next year, which will inevitably cause scheduling headaches for The Flash production team. With production now pushed back to late 2019, this will most likely mean a 2021 release.
At this point, is the movie even going to be made? We guess only time will tell.
