THE WHITECHAPEL FIEND and NOTHING BUT SHADOWS Cover Reveals

We’re a week away from the release of the third short story from Cassandra Clare’s Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, The Whitechapel Fiend.  And Entertainment Weekly has just released the cover for both The Whitechapel Fiend and Nothing But Shadows, the fourth book in the set.  I’m sure there’ll be several squeees once you see Shadows, considering the familiarity of the content.  Yeah, I already did my happy dance.

These standalone e-only short stories follow the journey of Simon Lewis of The Mortal Instruments series, as he now trains to become a Shadowhunter.  Some of the stories feature characters from previous and future Shadowhunter Chronicles books, The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices, and The Last Hours.

The Whitechapel Fiend is written by Cassandra Clare and Maureen Johnson, and comes out April 21st

There are two guest teachers this week, and—just Simon’s luck—they’re both Herondales. When Jace teaches a class at the Academy, warlock Tessa visits to share the true story of the Jack the Ripper murders.

Nothing But Shadows is written by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan, and comes out May 19th

Simon is not the first student to feel out of place at The Shadowhunter Academy—half-warlock and total bookworm James Herondale certainly didn’t quite fit in with the other students. Simon learns about James’ time at the Academy and discovers what it means to find a place you belong in this prelude to The Last Hours.
