Tom Hanks is in early negotiations to portray Geppetto in the Disney’s live-action remake of Pinocchio. In the animated film, Geppetto is the lonely woodworker who longs for a son and wishes on a star for one of his puppets, Pinocchio, to become a real boy.
Paul King (Paddington) is set to direct while Andre Miano and Chris Weitz will produce the film.
