Tom Holland Stepping Into CHAOS WALKING

SPIDER-MAN actor in negotiations to star in Patrick Ness adaptation!

It’s been nearly four months since Daisy Ridley was announced as Viola in the movie adaptation of the Chaos Walking series. Now, the movie’s male lead is well on its way to being solidified!

Tom Holland, best known as the new Spider-man for Sony and Marvel, is in talks to play main character Todd Hewitt, THR reports. In a dystopian world in which all women where killed by a “germ” and the rest of the world’s creatures were left with the ability to constantly stream each others’ thoughts (known as “Noise”), Todd comes across the ultimate anomaly while fleeing his small town: a girl, Viola.

This is Holland’s second recent casting announcement, as he’s also just joined The Current War with Benedict Cumberbatch and Michael Shannon.

Based on the YA series of Patrick Ness, Chaos Walking will be directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) based on a script by Academy Award-winning writer Charlie Kaufman and Jamie Linden. The film is expected out sometime in 2018.
