The Top 7 Films of 2019

Vice – Adam McKay’s The Big Short was a massive success, but Vice is even bigger. It is a comedic biopic similar to The Big Short, revolving around the life of Dick Cheney, who was seen as the most potent US Vice President ever. The role of Cheney is played by Christian Bale, alongside Amy Adams
playing the role of his wife and political partner. It is a funny political comic that made our 2019.

Bait – Not many films quite resemble Bait, in that it is bewildering and thrilling at the same time. Based on a small fishing village of Cornish, the fraying relations between the aggressive middle-class Londoners
and the maligned locals is what makes it what it is. The middle-class Londoners want to colonize the locals, but it is not easy. The Guardian hailed Bait as the ‘defining film of the decade.’

Burning – We all love something that strikes a good start, and that is what Burning does. It is a dreamlike story of a young Korean boy, Lee Jong-Su, who falls in love with a girl. She travels to a different part of the country, only to return with a mysteriously rich boy, played by Steven Yeun of Walking Dead. The film transforms into a mystery when the boy tells Lee Jong-Su of his adventures in Korea’s countryside.
