Two SUICIDE SQUAD Teasers Focus In On Amanda Waller And Deadshot

Meet Deadshot and the fierce characters pulling the strings in new SUICIDE SQUAD promos!

We all know that the band of villains known as the Suicide Squad isn’t to be messed with, but two new teasers for the film suggest they’re not the only dangerous ones in the crowd.

For instance, it takes a special kind of prison to torture and imprison the world’s most devious individuals before turning them into a militant death squad. And by “special,” we mean terrifying. And that person is none other than Amanda Waller, who is front and center in a new look at the film. We also see her in-the-field counterpart Rick Flag, but it’s clear who’s running the show!

Another video features Will Smith as Deadshot and introduces his rivalry with a Belle Reve Penitentiary guard played by The Mindy Project‘s Ike Barinholtz. We have a funny feeling that once the team is released, things aren’t going to go so well for the guard as Deadshot certainly isn’t known for his moral compass.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
