Carnage has been reported to be a villain, if not the villain, in next year’s VENOM movie, which stars a THE DARK KNIGHT RISES star.
In a recent report from THR to promote next month’s Spider-Man: Homecoming movie, the Venom movie is still in the works with Sony. What was also revealed was that Carnage was also going to be in the film as a villain. However, they have not stated whether Carnage will be the only villain that Venom will have to take on.
Of course, the success of Sony’s collaboration with Marvel on the Spider-Man film is what Venom and other in-the-works titles are banking on, including any future Spider-Man films. At least that’s what we’re hypothesizing.
Venom already has a big name signed on to star in the movie. Tom Hardy, who played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and Max in Mad Max: Fury Road, will take on the title character. No word on who’ll play Carnage, or whether they’ve even found someone to play the villain.
We’ll keep you updated on any casting news.
Venom has a calendar release date of October 5, 2018.
