Vin Diesel may be teaming up with Marvel for a second franchise, INHUMANS!
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY gained Vin Diesel quite a bit of notoriety as the voice of Groot, an intergalactic thug with a three word vocabulary who just happens to be built like a tree. But other than his various takes on Groot’s five spoken words, the actor won’t likely participate much in the GUARDIANS series as it unfolds. However, it looks like he’ll be finding another possible franchise home with Marvel!
It looks like the man himself may have found a place in Marvel’s INHUMANS, due out November 2, 2018. Diesel has hinted at this before by noting on Facebook that Marvel considered him “inhuman”, but that seems like a vague name drop compared to his latest social media post, which featured this impressive banner:
With this much confidence on display, we’d be shocked if Vin Diesel wasn’t in INHUMANS!
INHUMANS is the story of a race of superhumans created by the powers of the mythical Terrigen Mists, which gave the once regular humans strange powers but also left them with deformities. The Inhumans have strong ties to several current Marvel story lines, including Ronan the Accuser and The Avengers.
Funnily enough, Diesel would go from a character that barely talks to one that doesn’t talk at all were he to star as Inhumans king Black Bolt, whose voice has destructive powers.
