STAR WARS veteran Warwick Davis is back for the latest spinoff!
When you think of the Star Wars franchise, you think of names like Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford. You should also think of Warwick Davis, who started his career as the Ewok leader Wicket in Return of the Jedi, then went on to perform in memorable roles in Willow, The Leprechaun, and the Harry Potter series, among many others. He’s also come back for various roles within the Star Wars universe, including both The Force Awakens and Rogue One.
That streak continues in the next spinoff film based on Young Han Solo, according to director Ron Howard. When asked about a possible sequel to 1988’s Warwick Davis-starrer and Ron Howard-directed Willow on Twitter, the newly minted helmer of the Young Han Solo film responded slyly, announcing Davis’ involvement in the process.

As for Davis’ actual character this time around, your guess is as good as ours.
Ron Howard took over directing duties for the Han Solo spinoff back in late June after previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were removed by Disney and Lucasfilm. He’s made a few teases since he started, but this is his first casting announcement.
The Young Han Solo film is due to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
