Watch a behind the scenes look at HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD family portraits.
The past week has been a flurry of releases for Harry Potter fans. We were treated with some family portraits that introduce the cast of the play adaption of J.K. Rowling’s newest story Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. The portraits included our beloved trio alongside their families, post-Deathly Hallows Epilogue. (Nineteen years after to be exact). Along with a newly released first look at Draco Malfoy and his son, Scorpius Malfoy.
With the introduction to the new cast we only wish to get to know them more and see how much they embody our favorite wizards and witches. The Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Facebook page has granted us with a sliver of that wish. They have recently released a behind the scenes look of the making of these adorable family portraits.
You can see the cast posing for the pictures and get to see some of the technology used to enlighten the images for public release.
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child centers around Harry and his youngest son Albus as they work together with the past and future mixing together in a stressful way:
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is set to open in London at the Palace Theater in July 2016 with preview performances available from June 7th.
