Caitlin and Jay go on an awkward coffee date in THE FLASH Season 2 deleted scene!
Long before he was unmasked after the notorious speedster villain Zoom, many fans of The Flash rooted for the slow-blossoming relationship between STAR Labs scientist Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and the mysterious Earth-2 visitor Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears). We think they would have been cheering even harder if they’d seen this deleted scene from Season 2.
The scene shows Jay and Caitlin having coffee together, which Jay accidentally calls a date. This sparks a bit of humorous tension before Caitlin reveals the reason she really asked him out, which is far less exciting.
It’s possible that Jay’s reaction at the end of the scene was a little too villain-esque, but the clip was probably just cut for time purposes. Either way, we’re feeling indignant on behalf of Caitlin Snow all over again.
It’s unclear whether Zoom/Hunter Zoloman will have his own role in the Flashpoint Paradox universe of Season 3, for which filming is currently underway.
The Flash Season 3 will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
