ROGUE ONE heads to television in first major TV spot!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story might be about five months away, but the film is already revving up its television advertising!
The first TV spot for the Star Wars spin-off film has been released and while it doesn’t offer much in the way of new footage (we imagine that won’t come until a couple months before the big show,) it does show us that Lucasfilm is taking no risks when it comes to making sure audiences know what Rogue One is about and when it will be here. After all, this is the franchise’s first anthology film that doesn’t strictly follow the Skywalker family and their allies through space, so it’s got to make its more unique presence known!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story doesn’t have an official synopsis quite yet, but we do have plenty of character details. The film will follow Rebel Alliance leader Jyn Erso and her crew as they take on a fearsome task: Stealing Darth Vader’s plans for the Death Star that will enable rebel forces to attack against the Empire in a major way.
The movie hits theaters on December 16, 2016.
