The miniseries based JK Rowling’s THE CASUAL VACANCY will air on HBO in late April.
THE CASUAL VACANCY miniseries has already started and finished its run on BBC, but American audiences are set to get their first look when the three-part series hits HBO in a month! The miniseries, based JK Rowling’s first adult book after the HARRY POTTER series, follows a small town whose perfect appearance is shattered after the death of a local politician reveals the vicious nature of the rich, the issues between teens and their parents, and everyone’s true feelings about their neighbors.
The story is hard and political, but it’s also quite hard-hitting and meaningful. The book is sometimes hard to digest due to constantly changing points-of-view, but it seems like the format works beautifully for the on-screen adaptation.
THE CASUAL VACANCY parts 1 and 2 will air on April 29th. Part 3 will air on April 30th.
