Harlem shines in funky LUKE CAGE opening sequence!

We’re hours away from the Netflix release of Luke Cage Season 1, but you can check out the opening credits right now!

The credits are styled in the same combination of scenic sites and iconic comic book imagery as predecessors Daredevil and Jessica Jones. This time, Harlem sights including the Apollo theater and Lenox Avenue/Malcolm X Boulevard are front and center, sometimes projected over the shirtless, muscular form of Luke Cage throwing a slow-mo punch.

Luke Cage drops on Netflix at midnight on September 30, 2016.

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city–forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
