Watch: Mae Whitman in THE DUFF Clips and Featurettes

Six The Duff clips and two featurettes highlight Mae Whitman in lead actor role

While I maintain that Mae Whitman (Perks of Being a Wallflower) is neither ugly nor fat, which I guess is the point of this movie, here are six Duff clips and two behind-the-scene featurettes that will bring out the teen in you, as we go back to high school and deal with “mean girl” issues.

Mae Whitman plays Bianca, the “Designated Ugly Fat Friend,” or The DUFF as they call them, in this generation’s urban slang.  When she finds out about her label, she sets out to stop this trend, enlisting childhood-friend-and-all-too-popular-to-hang-out-with-jock Wesley (Robbie Amell, The Flash) to help her get out of this DUFF status and get her a date with her crush Toby (Nick Eversman, Wild).

Bianca is a content high school senior whose world is shattered when she learns the student body knows her as ‘The DUFF’ (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) to her prettier, more popular friends. Now, despite the words of caution from her favorite teacher, she puts aside the potential distraction of her crush, Toby, and enlists Wesley, a slick but charming jock, to help reinvent herself. To save her senior year from turning into a total disaster, Bianca must find the confidence to overthrow the school’s ruthless label maker Madison and remind everyone that no matter what people look or act like, we are all someone’s DUFF.

So, what do you think?  Will you be going to catch this movie?  Or are you done with high school and any depiction of it?  Comment below!
