Watch the new LEGION Featurette for a first look

Noah Hawley is taking the viewers on a whole new adventure with his upcoming new FX series, LEGION, and we’re freaked out!

Although Legion is still part of the Marvel universe, it looks like showrunner Noah Hawley has crafted it in a way that makes the series a very distant third cousin of the MCU altogether. It may be an alternate universe of the one we’re used to seeing from Marvel, but it’s certainly not an alternative fact.

This Legion featurette explores and teases what Hawley has done for the first season of the series, and there’s plenty of everything in it. At least so it seems.

“He begins to get the sense that he may not be crazy. That he may have these abilities,” says Hawley about the main character David, played by Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast). “Along the way, he falls in love. He gets into some scrapes for sure.”

Thoughout, we see some of the moments where David sees a mess of visions.

“He doesn’t know if what he’s seeing is real or not real,” explains Hawley, “and the audience should have that same experience.”

Knowing that, it’s going to be a bumpy ride not only for the characters, but for the viewers as well. Sounds like fun!

ABOUT LEGION
Legion, based on the Marvel Comics, follows the story of David Haller – a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric wards for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that he is a mutant with inexplicable powers. Produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television.

Legion premieres Wednesday, February 8th at 10pm on FX.
