Although this “New Hero” trailer doesn’t actually show new footage, it’s still exciting to see Supergirl joining her fellow DC superheroes (The Flash, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) on the CW.

Earlier this week, the CW also introduced Melissa Benoist in a fierce stance and ready to punch someone.

In this particular character’s storyline, Corben battles against both Superman and Supergirl and becomes seriously injured. When a shadow organization saves his life, they empower him with Kryptonite and he then becomes supervillain Metallo.

Schmidt has appeared in a handful of British films and will also appear in the zombie-movie Patient Zero. The movie stars Doctor Who‘s Matt Smith.

Metallo will appear in at least two episodes of Supergirl, including the season premiere, which will also introduce Kara’s cousin, Kal-El a.k.a. Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lex Luthor’s sister, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).

Supergirl premiere Monday, October 10th on the CW.
