Watch The First Footage From The WONDER WOMAN Solo Movie

Diana kicks ass in the first look at the WONDER WOMAN solo project!

The CW aired the DC cinematic universe special ‘The Dawn of the Justice League’ last night and on top of an excellent new look at the “Worst. Heroes. Ever.” in the new Suicide Squad trailer, we also got the first footage from the Wonder Woman solo movie coming next year!

During the clips, DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns explains the power of Wonder Woman and promises a rich origin story to host Kevin Smith. There’s also commentary from Director Patty Jenkins, Chris Pine, and Gal Gadot, who says “We are going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what’s her mission.”

The short clips do help give us a small feel of the film– the great 1920s production design, the continued use of a grayer palette in line with what we’ve seen in Batman V Superman footage, and the character’s motivation for living among humans.

Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters on June 23, 2017, but we’ll get an introduction to the Amazonian warrior this March in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
