Stella and Will have the same disease but two very different worldviews in FIVE FEET APART!
Rachael Lippincott‘s YA novel Five Feet Apart hits bookshelves this month, but it turns out it’s not the original version of this story. In a rare occurrence, the screenplay written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis came first and CBS Films out to have the emotional YA novel was adapted after the fact.
Before the book hits shelves, fans are getting their first good look at the real (or should we say “reel”) source: A touching film starring Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson as Will and Stella, two teens with the same illness– cystic fibrosis– and a very different philosophy on how they should handle it. As the two slowly make a connection, they’ll have to decide what they’re willing to risk if they want to both live longer and live happily.
These two actors seem so genuine and charming in these roles, so you know our interest is piqued!
The movie is due to hit theaters on March 22, 2019, but those of us who want to feel all the feelings a little early can preorder the novel, which drops on November 20th, via Amazon.
