The Walking Dead’s Mid-Season finale will crush us from “Start to Finish”
[*mild spoilers of episode 6.07] If you recall in last week’s The Walking Dead episode, “Heads Up,” we see the watchtower just outside of the Alexandria safe-zone walls fall and crash against a large portion of the wall. You could say that the $h@T just hit the fan and now Rick Grimes, his group, and the Alexandrians really are in this together, from “Start to Finish,” if you will.
The mid-season finale is going to probably leaving shred us, chew us up, and spit us out at the conclusion of it, and we’re going to have to find a way to gather up what’s left of ourselves and try to live on as if this didn’t just pull out all our intestines.
All puns aside, it looks like, as with previous mid-season finales, this is going to be another crazy episode that will leave us probably with more questions, as well as possible heartbreak. But in a show like this, heartbreak is supposed to be expected, usually with a character’s death. True, Glenn Rhee survived his latest walker threat… but that’s no reason we should feel he’s safe. None of them are when it comes to The Walking Dead.
“After having a few moments of peace, trouble finds its way to Alexandria yet again. Only this time, the threat might be too big to defeat.”
