I figured that the final book of The Mortal Instruments series would be quite large, considering all that needs to be wrapped up with all those amazing characters, and I was right. Cassandra Clare had posted on her Tumblr that the page count for City of Heavenly Fire is 733 pages!
733 pages, people!
In searching The Mortal Instruments books, according to Goodreads, that’s almost 200 pages more than the 2nd longest book, City of Glass. Pretty impressive.
- City of Bones, 485 pages
- City of Ashes, 453 pages
- City of Glass, 541 pages
- City of Fallen Angels, 424 pages
- City of Lost Souls, 535 pages
Even compared to her other loved series, The Infernal Devices, 733 pages is quite a huge number, as Clockwork Princess would be 2nd in longest books written by Cassie.
- Clockwork Angel, 479 pages
- Clockwork Prince, 502 pages
- Clockwork Princess, 565 pages
This is pretty impressive, and I have to say, pretty exciting for all of us Shadowhunter fans. This might call for 2 tissue boxes instead of 1!
