Just as we were starting to finally let go of one of the years biggest hits, Broadway announces they’re currently working on the musical stage production for Walt Disney Animation Studio’s billion dollar animated film Frozen, with new music! According to Comingsoon.net, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and her husband Robert Lopez, the talented songwriting duo behind the films hit songs like “Let it go” and “Do you want to build a snowman?”, are back to bring you more musical hits.
tumblr_nheo4kfNGe1tb8alro1_1280After grossing over $1.2 billion worldwide, the team behind the hit animated film aren’t ready to give up their popularity yet. Disney Theatrical Productions along with the songwriting duo and Frozen’s Co-Director and Screen Writer Jennifer Lee will be working together to perfect the new music and stage version of the film.
If watching the film and hearing millions around the world singing “Let It Go” wasn’t enough to make you fall in love with the film, our favorite Frozen characters Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and Kristoff will be back to celebrate Anna’s 19th birthday in the 10 minute short film Frozen Fever which will debut in theaters with Walt Disney Pictures Cinderella on March 13, 2015. Good new’s for Frozen fans, the original cast Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gadd will reprise their roles as the famous trio along with singer Idina Menzel who sang one of the films chart toppers “Let It Go” will be back to lend her vocals to the short film. Catch a sneak peek below at the Frozen Fever trailer!
