Speculations have begun on how DISNEY will allocate their advertisement time on Super Bowl Sunday, and Star Wars fans want to know if it will include a Star Wars: EPISODE IX teaser.

A recent AdAge article detailed the companies who bought ads for the advertising day of the year – Super Bowl Sunday, which is coming up this weekend. Unsurprisingly, Disney is on the list:

Walt Disney will air an undisclosed number of spots in the game.

An “undisclosed number of spots” points toward multiple teasers dropping, which has left Star Wars fans to speculate if IX will be one of them.

It’s not necessarily a given though — Disney has plenty of upcoming movies coming out, including big names like Aladdin and The Lion King. It’s unclear how many will get advertisement time on Sunday. Last year, Solo: A Star Wars Story did get a Super Bowl teaser.

Even though Star Wars: Episode IX is still about eleven months away, a teaser trailer could certainly be helpful in building some excitement for the next installment. Star Wars has been in an interesting limbo lately after mixed reactions to The Last Jedi and low turnout to Solo. A little momentum for IX (and maybe a title) couldn’t hurt.
