What does the poem in the new GAME OF THRONES trailer mean?

After years of warning, winter is finally upon us in the latest Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer!

Just about every character can be seen in this new trailer first found on Variety, in which the war for Westeros takes over almost every front.

It all starts with an eerie shot of Sansa Stark as Petyr Baelish encourages her to fight every battle in a voice over.

Next, shots of characters readying and going to war take over the screen.

“For centuries our families fought together against their common enemy. Despite their differences, together. We need to do the same if we’re going to survive because the enemy is real. It’s always been real,” Jon Snow says in the mid-section of the trailer, though it’s not quite clear who he’s giving this rousing speech to.

It all ends with a poem from Sansa that is already sparking several theories:

When the snows fall,
When the white winds blow,
The lone wolf dies,
But the pack survives

What do you think it means? The death of the Jon Snow (again)? Which “lone wolf” is dying? And which pack will come out on top?

Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on July 16, 2017 on HBO.
