NARCOS star moves to the other side of the law for WOLVERINE 3!
He may play a good guy on the Netflix series Narcos, albeit a gritty one, but Boyd Holbrook is going dark and villainous for Wolverine 3!
The actor will go up against Hugh Jackman in his final performance as the beloved mutant superhero. According to Deadline, the character name hasn’t been announced but he will be “a relentless, calculating and intense head of security for a global enterprise who is set against Jackman’s clawed Wolverine/Logan hero.”
The third movie in the Wolverine franchise will follow the Old Man Logan comic story line, which shows the character in chaos during a future in which supervillains have teamed up to destroy all the heroes. We imagine there will be some big changes–for instance, the initial story presents the Hulk as a villain and his ancestors are incestuous criminals– but the essence of the comic will definitely be there. It seems Holbrook’s character is heading up the initiative to take down superheroes.
Other than Narcos, Boyd Holbrook has starred in A Walk Among The Tombstones, Jane Got A Gun, and Gone Girl.
Wolverine 3, which has not yet announced it’s formal title, is due to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
