WONDER WOMAN Flashback Sequence Confirmed For JUSTICE LEAGUE

JUSTICE LEAGUE will take us back to Wonder Woman’s homeland of Themyscira!

Warning: Wonder Woman spoilers below!

If you loved Wonder Woman‘s opening sequences introducing the superhero and her all-female warrior island of Themyscira, the DC Entertainment Universe’s next big film will have something great for you.

The LA Times recently interviewed Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), and Robin Wright (General Antiope), during which the three confirmed that we’ll be seeing more of the family relationship in the DC hero team-up film Justice League.

Gadot: Of course; the mother and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there’s a lot more to explore.

Nielsen: And [Wright and I] got to do more in “Justice League” as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can’t say much, but …

Wright: And more of the story, you get some of the history.

As SlashFilm pointed out, major spoiler plot points in Wonder Woman would require this scene to be a flashback because Antiope is dead and as far as we know, Diana never returned to Themyscira after her battle with Ares.

Diana has one of the richer histories among the Justice League, so it will be great to see that explored a little more!

Justice League
hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
