Veteran actor Woody Harrelson is on his way to a big role in the STAR WARS franchise!
Woody Harrelson has played a wide range of roles over a lengthy career, but rumor has it he’s on his way to playing a mentor to a young hero character once again.
According to Variety, the actor who once played Haymitch Abernathy, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark’s mentor in The Hunger Games, is the top choice to play a mentor to young Han Solo in the untitled Star Wars prequel spinoff starring Alden Ehrenreich.
This is the first hint at a mentor character even appearing in the film, which takes place before Rogue One and Star Wars: A New Hope and also stars Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke in an unknown role.
Allison Sheamur, one of the producers for the film, worked with Harrelson on The Hunger Games series. However, Variety also says that talks are still in the early stages and Harrelson is not locked down in the role quite yet.
The young Han solo spinoff is expected in late 2018, though an exact date has not been confirmed.
