Will Woody Harrelson bring Carnage to Sony’s VENOM adaptation?
Sony’s adaptation of Marvel’s Venom just added another huge Hollywood name to its ranks!
Woody Harrelson has signed on in a mystery role that’s been described as “a henchman of sorts,” according to TheWrap.
Tom Hardy stars as Eddie Brock, a man taken over by a symbiotic alien being that gives him wild new powers including super strength, shape-shifting, and camouflage.
Many fans think the “henchman” Harrelson is set to play may actually be the film’s villain, Carnage aka Cletus Kasady, a serial killer who was once cellmates with Eddie Brock before getting his own alien symbiote in the comics. Then again, fans thought Riz Ahmed would play Carnage when his casting was announced as well and there’s no confirmation coming any time soon.
He joins Hardy, Ahmed, Michelle Williams, and Jenny Slate, the latter three of whom all have mystery roles as well.
Venom is due out in theaters on October 5, 2018.
