You Are What You Worship: AMERICAN GODS Reveals Comic-Con Art

AMERICAN GODS Comic-Con poster worships ‘Merica and all its vices.

Trust us– This stunning new poster for STARZ’s upcoming series American Gods is worth worshipping!

The clever poster for the new series, which follows a man whose just returned from prison and finds himself entangled in a battle between mysterious gods old and new, features a fresh tagline– “You are what you worship.” Below that, we see a Buffalo skull with various vices that many humans in the novel “worship” including technology, drink, drugs, and weapons on top of a red and blue background with white stars. With bold imagery like that, it’s no surprise that the show title looks like neon lights!

Those of you that have read Neil Gaiman’s novel know that the Buffalo skull refers based to the forgotten buffalo-headed spirit that begins to take over protagonist Shadow Moon’s dreams after he starts working with the god known as Mr. Wednesday.

American Gods will hold its Comic-Con panel tomorrow. The show will come to STARZ in early 2017.
