Shawn Mendes recruits himself for The 100
Singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes isn’t an actor. However, that didn’t stop him from using his Twitter powers to ask for a favor from anyone capable to cast him on his favorite show. Of course, this doesn’t quite work for just anybody. He is a pretty popular and talented singer for his generation (he’s only 16!) and he’s about to go on tour soon. And he loves The 100.
So, as any person would do, he tweeted out to anyone that would listen and asked to be on the show, despite not having any acting credentials to his name.
Fortunately, for him, someone did hear his plea. That someone happened to be executive producer and creator of the show, Jason Rothenberg.

We’re not sure if this is actually going to happen. Considering the fact that Shawn Mendes is a singer, not an actor, you’d think he would still have to go through the process of actually auditioning, unless it’s a non-speaking part.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
