Recently, Young Performer Magazine interviewed one of the stars of the Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters movie, Alexandra Daddario (Annabeth).
Q: Is it nice to be working with your co-star Logan Lerman again?
A: Logan’s a great actor and great to work with. We shot in New Orleans in an abandoned Six Flags theme park. It was muddy, and there were armadillos walking around and snakes. Logan and I were sitting there, in the mud, tied up to posts with bugs crawling on us. We just started laughing hysterically at the situation.Q: Why do you think kids like the Percy Jackson stories so much?
A: It’s about kids who are flawed in some way and, ultimately, they are still able to succeed. We all have problems growing up. Fights in families, ADHD, dyslexia – all things that are talked about in Percy Jackson – but you can still do whatever you want to do and you’re still special. I think that’s the message that everybody relates to.
